Thanks for the memories LUNEA

In June of 2001 we found the perfect boat, for us, in Huntington, NY.  The boat was named Camelot. We quickly changed her name to LUNEA reflecting a blend of the names from Bob's "Mermaid" and my "Blue Moon". We've had many great times with family and friends cruising and playing in Cuttyhunk and Vineyard Haven and all around Narragansett Bay. We were moved to sail to New York City to witness the one-year anniversary of 9/11 and we spent our 10 week honeymoon on her sailing  downeast to Maine and back.

Last year we realized that to attain our next goal, sailing South for the winter on the ICW, we needed a different boat. We wanted a shallow draft, a furling mainsail, an electric windlass and a walk-through stern, all advantages we knew would help us achieve this goal. We were fortunate to find Sirène who has met all those parameters, and will allow us to chase after the dream of sailing to the Florida Keys and the Bahamas.  Happily, LUNEA has been sold to a couple who are as excited about her today as we were 12 years ago.
