Goodbye sweethearts, well it's time to go......sniff sniff. Such wonderful hosts, thank you for a perfect holiday visit xoxo.
On the road north toward home. We took just over a week to get here...we have three days to get home. No dilly-dallying just pedal to the metal. Long, long, long hours on highways. Blech! Off to Roanoke for the first leg.
On day two we treated ourselves to a little side trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway for a few miles. Always beautiful.
We also saw a big flock of wild turkeys but they were moving too fast to catch a photo. They may not have realized that Thanksgiving Day had passed already.
Alas the respite was short and we got back on the highway.....boooooring. So I took pictures of trucks and barns (which I'm a little obsessed with, it's part of the Amish thing I think) and skies....clouds more specifically.
We try to guess what crops are grown on the farms we pass but this one was easy. Must be really big seeds to grow these beauties.
Yay!
